Lately I have been going out a lot and as a result eating out a lot. I've been trying to be semi healthy and looking up the nutrition before going to the restaurant but ultimately it has been a huge fail. I decide what I am going to order beforehand and I order it, but is it just me or are the restaurants completely wrong. A couple of times I've gone to Cheesecake Factory and ordered things off of the skinnylicious menu but when I get my food I refuse to believe it's 600 calories or less. Last time I ordered the tuscan chicken and it came with THREE chicken breasts and some farro yet the menu said it was less than 590 calories. Is there a regular tuscan chicken I don't know about??
Today I went to Rubios and ordered the health mex mahi mahi burrito, which was supposed to be 530 calories but after I took a bite I thought to myself no way. I was with a new friend so I didn't want to make a huge deal and be an annoyingly picky person. But, later I went home and looked it up and realized I had received the regular mahi mahi burrito, which is actually 730 calories!!!! The difference was in the corn, guacamole and beans.
So it seems no matter how much I try, eating out ultimately fails me. I don't think I really believe the numbers some of the restaurants put out with their foods or they're messing with the serving sizes. It goes without saying that when you're dieting you should just make all of your own meals.

Life
Life has been so hectic lately that I just needed some days to relax. I finally got the iphone5 in the mail and had to spend countless hours trying to set it up because I wanted everything on my old iphone to go onto my new iphone. But, there were so many issues with backing up my information, downloading and installing. Turns out it's because I never update anything on my laptop oops. Apple is such a vortex and once you have one apple product it's essentially impossible to revert to anything else.
Food and exercise have been pretty blah lately, although I have made some very healthy recipes, I am really not focused and I have so many other things occupying me. Excuses excuses. I do have to get everything together in anticipation of some upcoming events and whatnot.

Vacation Time!
The past few days I was on vacation celebrating my friends birthday! Aka I was super unhealthy, ate a lot, did not go to the gym and gained 10lbs. Here are a few pictures of some of my meals.
This sandwich at a greek restaurant. It was eggplant, tomato, onion, ground lamb, feta cheese on pita bread. It was muy delicioso. On the side I also had a type of chicken soup with orzo, that was way to salty.
Pita bread with hummus! So good.
Brunch at a hippy granola place. Egg whites with cheese, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes. On the side was brown rice with chicken and avocado sauce. One of the best brunches I've ever had. It was filling without being heavy and greasy.
Cup of chai tea latte on the sead, to much foam.
Steak sandwich with salad on the side, this steak was perfectly rare.
